TRASH CANS SHOULD NOT BE PUT OUT BEFORE MONDAY EVENING AND SHOULD NOT BE VISABLE FROM THE STREET OR BY NEIGHBORS ANYTIME DURING THE WEEK. PLEASE STORE OUT OF SIGHT.
YARD UPKEEP & WASTE REMINDERS
Unfortunately this year quite a number of yards are not being maintained by their owners up to the usual CW Fantastic standards. PLEASE mow, trim, pick up storm branches, clean gutters to have our neighborhood look terrific as it usually does. DOG POOP often is not being picked up! CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOG PLEASE. Neighbors who don't own dogs shouldn't have to.
Also, it is homeowners responsibility to trim your trees if they overhang on the street or sidewalks. 83rd St sidewalks are practically impossible to walk on in many areas of Colony Woods Resident homes. These need to be trimmed and cleaned up before complaints are registered with the city. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Colony Woods Neighborhood Association
Mark your calendars for Friday, November 10th from 6-9pm for an out of CW get together at Tanner's on 87th. This is an adult open event where we have the back room reserved for us to have a chance to get together and hang out with your CW neighbors.
We want to encourage and invite all our NEW NEIGHBORS to come and get to know everyone and learn about activities, the HOA and ask questions, give ideas. So invite any new neighbors who live by you. We will buy the new neighbors their first drink and have some munchies, but then everyone pays for their own drinks or food.
As the weather cools, we all enjoy being outside more. As we are walking around the neighborhood, it has been noticed that there are a number of yards who could use a little TLC. Cleaning up branches, bush and tree trimming and there are a many yards with large bare patches in the lawns. NOW IS A PERFECT TIME TO OVER-SEED YOUR YARD.
Put down some grass seed now, give it a little watering this fall and you'll see a good looking lawn in the spring. It's like magic!
A great neighborhood in Lenexa, Kansas
